Mr. Ma Gengxin, an attorney of Nuoheng, was appointed as an arbitrator of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission
Established on 18 September 1995, the Shanghai Arbitration Commission (SHAC), formed by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government in accordance with the law, is one of the first pilot arbitration institutions established in China. In order to implement the decision and deployment of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on arbitration reform, the SHAC, in accordance with the Overall Plan for Deepening the Reform of the Shanghai Arbitration Commission issued by the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and the Shanghai Municipal Government, deepens the reform of its system and mechanism in a comprehensive manner under the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Justice, and endeavors to build a first-class arbitration institution that is leading in the domestic market and internationally renowned in terms of marketization, specialization and internationalization.
On the morning of October 26, the SHAC's 7th Appointment Ceremony and Training Session for Newly Appointed Arbitrators was successfully held in the Shanghai International Arbitration Parlor on the 18th floor of the West Tower of the Sino-US Trust Finance Building, located at No. 88 North Suzhou Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai. Mr. Zhang Chengbin, Secretary of the Party Committee of the SHAC, and Mr. Lu Chunwei, member of the Party Committee, Deputy Director and Secretary General of the SHAC, were present at the event, which was also attended by more than 300 arbitrators and all the staff of SHAC. Mr. Ma Gengxin, an attorney of Nuoheng, attended the event and received the appointment letter of arbitrator.
The appointment fully reflects the affirmation and recognition of SHAC on the practice ethics, professionalism and arbitration competence of Mr. Ma.
Looking ahead, Mr. Ma will uphold SHAC's mission in handling cases, abide by the professional code of ethics as an arbitrator, and adhere to the values of "independence, impartiality, professionalism and efficiency", and will conscientiously carry out his duties as an arbitrator in his field of specialization, while continuously improving his ability to perform his duties and responsibilities.
