The Press Conference and News Media Joint Symposium for the 4th Beijing Chaoyang District Lawyers Association Was Successfully Held

On the afternoon of June 28, the press conference and news media joint symposium for the 4th Beijing Chaoyang District Lawyers Association was successfully held in Chaoyang Hotel in Beijing. Li Dajin, Counselor of Chaoyang District Lawyers Association, members of the president's team, members of the supervisor's team and Secretary-General of the Association attended the event. The event attracted more than 30 news media, and China Media Group Mobile and Chaoyang District Law Association broadcast live simultaneously through platforms such as WeChat Channel. After the ceremony, Li Dajin delivered a message, saying that as a lawyer, he must stick to his initial career, strive to practice the purpose of serving the people wholeheartedly, and be a respected teacher of law and integrity with good professionalism and professional ethics. Li Dajin summed up his career of more than forty years with the words "perseverance and excellence", and encouraged young lawyers with these words, hoping that the young lawyers will take the right path and realize the clear way in their future career.

Mr. Liu Guangchao expressed his sincere thanks to the media for their support and hoped to further strengthen the interaction and communication between Chaoyang District Lawyers Association and the media. Then he made a speech on the topic of "Keeping the Original Intention and Setting Sail Again".

President Liu Guangchao said that since the 4th Chaoyang District Lawyers Association took office in January, 2023, under the leadership of the Party Leadership Group of Chaoyang District Bureau of Justice and the Party Committee of Chaoyang District Lawyer Profession, and under the leadership of all the leading bodies of the Association, it has carried out a lot of work, made outstanding achievements, and achieved the goal of "accurate positioning, stable start and solid progress". Adhering to the purpose of leading the Party building and serving the society, the Association is determined to innovate, and has made remarkable progress in strengthening diversified Party building, promoting information construction, legal aids for grassroots, standardized management of lawyers' practice, guiding the construction of law firms, optimizing and improving lawyers' practice environment, and promoting the overall quality of lawyers. He pointed out that the 4th Association takes "Five Adherences" as its working principles and concepts, namely, adherence to political leadership, adherence to serve members, adherence to pioneer and innovate, adherence to keep pragmatic and efficient, and adherence to keep inclusive and open-mind. As the saying goes, "One must have a basis for implementation and a method for implementation." Li Hua said that the Supervisory Committee is mainly responsible for supervising the work of the Council of the Association, the President's Council and other working departments of the Association, as well as being responsible for and reporting on the work of the Lawyers' Congress of the Association. To this end, the current Supervisory Committee has determined the work plan of "compiling a set of system, establishing two general principles, building three sets of evaluation systems, and adhering to four supervisory works".

Liu Xiaoming explained the situation of the Counselor Group of the Association and how to help the development of Chaoyang lawyers. Since the establishment of this session of Association, a total of 31 influential representative figures among Chaoyang lawyers have been hired to serve as counselors of the Chaoyang District Lawyers Association, and the Counselor Group of the Association has been established with the aim of helping Chaoyang lawyers develop better in the future, promoting the improvement of the standard of practice n Chaoyang, and increasing the influence of "Chaoyang lawyers" as a brand. Meanwhile, the Chaoyang District Lawyers Association will carry out a variety of consultant exchange activities to help the high-quality development of Chaoyang lawyers.

He pointed out that this system aims at solving the dilemma faced by the Association in communication and liaison with the member representatives and members. In order to further strengthen the industry propaganda work and report the new achievements and new image of Chaoyang lawyers in a timely and comprehensive manner, this session of the Association launched the publicity liaison mechanism. The leaders of the Association presented letters of appointment to the first batch of representatives of the publicity liaison officers on the spot, hoping that the publicity liaison officers can act as the publicity ties between the Association and the law firms and create a new situation in the publicity work of Chaoyang lawyer profession.

In his final speech, Liu Guangchao said, "There are 1,279 law firms and 23,447 lawyers in Chaoyang District, accounting for 38.65% and 53.09% of the city, respectively. There are 435 grassroots Party organizations in the law firm. We have 446 lawyers from democratic parties, and 36 lawyers who are Party representatives, deputies to the National People's Congress and CPPCC members at all levels. They all make outstanding contributions to regional economic and social development. In the next step, we will continue to strengthen exchanges and communication with various news media, take the initiative to assume social responsibilities, vigorously promote the spirit of the rule of law, promote social harmony, and practice the connotation of Chaoyang lawyer as a pioneer of the rule of law, an industry model and the image of China with practical actions."。
